Politics. Pop Culture. Current Events. A talk show about your community!
Tune into the Jason Rantz Show weeknights from 7pm-10pm on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM.

“We need to be better consumers of news in this country,” is a mantra often heard on the Jason Rantz Show on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. To that end, Rantz provides thoughtful, fresh analysis of the local and national news that matter to you most, encouraging conversations with people you disagree with so you can fully understand the issues that face our communities.

Rantz is not afraid to challenge his listeners to fact check everything they hear coming from the media — including on his own show — so that everyone can become better informed news consumers. His analysis is often surprising, always thoughtful, and never a regurgitation of someone else’s talking points. He passionately advocates his own beliefs but challenges the audience by effectively playing Devil’s Advocate on all issues, respectively pushing his guests to answer tough questions and give the audiences some tough truths.

The show covers a wide variety of topics, from gun rights and religious freedom to parenting and pop culture, in a way that advances the conversation in a meaningful way. There’s no yelling or name calling on the show. He’s not a flamethrower. Instead of presenting problems, Rantz provides solutions to some of the biggest issues facing this country, with a point of seeking to understand (and present) all sides of an issue, not cherry pick facts to push a certain perspective.

And at the core, Rantz is a compelling storyteller, seamlessly weaving personal experiences, audio, and facts delivering a clear, purposeful message. This is, perhaps, why his show has generated some much buzz, garnering coverage by the Seattle Times, KING 5, and other outlets for his recurring stable of influential guests and breaking stories.

Rantz got his start in radio when he was just 15, co-hosting a sports talk show for kids on XTRA Sports in Los Angeles, but quickly realized talk radio is where he wanted to go. After working his way up from screener to producer to fill-in host on KLSX-FM in Los Angeles, Rantz earned his news chops as a producer for the world-famous KFI-Los Angeles and his comedy chops as the executive producer of the syndicated Phil Hendrie Show. After a year of being the featured show on KIRO FM weekends, Rantz was promoted to the night time host.

The Jason Rantz Show on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM airs weeknights from 7-10pm.
